April 26, 2016

The 2016 school play is “The Suessification of Romeo and Juliet.” The play is directed by the

band and chorus teacher, Mr. Pluhm. This is Mr. Pluhm’s first year at Hartem High and this will be his

first play. The play is based on the traditional love story, Romeo and Juliet, but it has a twist. The play

will be set in a Dr. Seuss setting. The two main characters of the play are 7th grader Ryan Kennedy as

Romeo and 10th grader Sierra Smith as Juliet. This year there are many students participating from both

high school and jr. high. The play will make its debut on Friday at 6:30 with the doors opening at 6:00. If

you can’t make it on Friday, it will also be on Saturday at 6:30 with the doors again opening at 6:00. Be

sure to come out and support Hartem High’s theater program this weekend!
