While speaking with Jarrett Rohlfs, one of our own seniors, I learned about his history with trapshooting. It all began when a lady, Terry DeWitt, saw him shooting and took notice. She later offered to coach him to prepare him for a possible future in trapshooting. Terry is an ex-Olympic trapshooter and is currently a Midway USA Representative. She finds prospects and trains them to shoot internationally. After Terry noticed him, Jarrett really started to train hard with his shooting. Several times a month he would practice for hours at a time.
But more recently, he took a trip to Texas to visit the USA Selections, which is the trial for the World Cup. While there, he met fellow trapshooters: to name a few, Josh Richmond and Corey Cogdell-Unrein, both previous members of the team USA Trapshooting.
He concluded our conversation by stating that his ultimate goal in trapshooting would be to make the Junior Team USA.
