This year's 2016/2017 High School Golf team is coached by John Robinson, the business/computer teacher here at Hartsburg-Emden. The golf team is in co-op with Delavan High School and consists of eleven members. The players include Noah Jeckel, a Senior from Delavan; Joey Mathews, a Junior from Delavan; Tollin Johnson, a Junior from Delavan; Charlie Hodges, a Sophomore from Delavan; Alex Eads, a Sophomore from Hartem; Pete Hultquist, a Sophomore from Delavan; Brady Vannaken, a Sophomore from Delavan; Nate McAfee, a Freshman from Hartem; Addam Hoerbort, a Freshman from Hartem; Drew Dickson, a Freshman from Delavan; and Baine Edwards, a Freshman from Delavan.
So far things are looking good for the Hartem/Delavan Golf Team. This year they are 10:2 so far and they also won the ICAC Conference Meet. Last year this team made it to Sectionals. This year head coach John Robinson has even higher expectations. John stated that “if things go right, this team could make it to State.” For the season so far, Noah Jeckel is in the lead for the best average followed by Joey Mathews. Things are looking great for the Stags/Panthers!
